EBTH has introduced me to several new words today, including jungalicious and boho-tanical. As a fairly boxed-in New Yorker living in less than 1000 sq ft, I am a fan of bringing the feeling of outdoors in, whether that means creating a modest jungle or tossing a fern-printed throw pillow into the mix.

A bold color palate with touches of matte black seems only appropriate for the Rei Kawakubo-themed spring 2017 Met Gala. I do think they could have gone a little more modern, though I imagine it is hard to be super avant-garde with decor for such a large formal event.
Came across Wihro Kim’s layered interiors and indoor/outdoor compositions thanks to Instagram’s Explore feed. I appreciate many different styles of 2D art, but there is something special about being able to keep seeing things in artwork. Whenever I invest in a large painting someday, I want something like this–a window to peer through, a piece you can’t stop coming back to, exploring again and again, and maybe getting lost in.
